WSC 2022 will be held in Singapore from 26 – 29 October, 2022, with selected sessions available online for participants that may not be able to attend in person due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.

The official language of WSC 2022 will be English.

End of October is a nice time to visit Singapore and enjoy the city’s vibrant life. The average high temperature for the month of June is 32°C (89,6°F) and the average low temperature is 25°C (77°F).  In the evenings it may be chilly, so prepare a cardigan or a jacket to take with you.

The Congress will officially run on Singapore Standard Time (GMT +8).

Participants are advised to wear business casual for all Congress functions and programmes.

The Singapore Dollar is the currency of Singapore. The currency code for Dollars is SGD, and the currency symbol is $.

We encourage all participants to download and install the mobile app prior to the Congress.

ONSITE OPENING HOURS

FACULTY REGISTRATION DESK

If you are a Board, GA or Committee Member, an invited speaker in a Plenary, Meet-the-Expert or Workshop session or a session moderator, please come to the Faculty Registration Desk to collect your badge.

PREPAID REGISTRATION

  • A confirmation letter with a barcode will be sent to all non-Faculty participants a few days prior to the Symposium.
  • Please bring your confirmation letter with you to the Symposium to enable you to collect your registration materials from the prepaid registration stations located in the Registration Area of the Symposium Centre.
  • If you do not receive a confirmation letter and barcode, do not worry, you will still be able to use the self-service machines by typing your full name into the machine. Hostesses will be in the Registration Area to assist you.

BADGES

Upon registration, you will receive your name badge. You are kindly requested to wear your badge during all Congress sessions and events.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SPEAKERS & MODERATORS

All registered participants have access to the WSC 2022 Virtual Platform from Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 07:00h Singapore Standard Time (SST/GMT+8).

The platform will stay open until January 29, 2023, 23:59 Singapore Standard Time (SST/GMT+8) and you can enjoy 3-months of on-demand access to session recordings and E-Posters.

On October, 26, 2022 Singapore Standard Time (SST/GMT+8), all registered attendees will receive their platform login details via email. In this regard, please check your spam box as well and if you cannot find the letter, please contact us.

The 14th World Stroke Congress is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS): www.uems.net

The 14th World Stroke Congress is designated for a maximum of, or up to, 22 European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity

Within the congress venue, healthcare professional authorized to prescribe prescription medicines will be recognized with a letter P (Prescriber) indicated after their name badges.

Non-prescribers will be indicated as N/P

Most visitors to Singapore do not require a visa for entry. However, double-check that you do not require a visa from the country you are coming from.

On immigration clearance, the SG Arrival Card (SGAC) e-Service1 should be completed before you leave your departure point. This is available electronically on the Visit Singapore Travel Guide app on the App Store or Google Play. Alternatively, you can visit the Singapore Immigration & Checkpoints Authority website to submit your arrival information. You can submit the information up to three days before your visit.

An official personalised letter of invitation will be provided to registered participants as part of the registration procedure. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support or confirmation of inclusion in the Scientific Programme.

All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

The Congress Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
